Privacy Policy

Your privacy is our priority. MTrace is designed to be a local utility. We believe that your system's performance data is your business, and it should stay on your machine.

1. No Data Collection

MTrace does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

• We do not track your identity, location, or usage patterns.
• We do not access, inspect, or log the content of your network data; we only read the hardware data rate (Kb/s, Mb/s) to display speed.
• Everything the app does happens strictly on your local device.

2. No Analytics & No Tracking

We believe in clean software. MTrace does not use any third-party analytics SDKs.

• No Firebase. We do not use Google Firebase for tracking or crash reporting.
• No Google Analytics. No usage statistics are gathered or sent to Google or any other third party.
• No hidden logs. We do not collect "anonymous" telemetry about how you use the app.

3. System Monitoring & Local Processing

MTrace reads system metrics (CPU load, memory usage and network speed) solely to display them to you in real-time.

• Data is processed in memory and is never saved to a database or uploaded to any server.
• The data is refreshed in real-time and discarded immediately.

4. Permissions

The app requires standard macOS permissions to display information in the menu bar and to "Open at Login". These permissions are used exclusively for the app's core functionality and nothing else.
